Reserves Stick Rainbeaus with 9-4 Loss
Despite a great performance by Kansas center fielder Jack Washington, the Athletic Club KC Reserves defeated the Rainbeaus by the score of 9-4 at Wichita Field. Washington slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Miguel Martínez picked up the win with 7.1 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 6-6. Josuke Okumura recorded his 2nd save for Athletic Club KC.

Athletic Club KC used a clutch hit from Ernesto Hernández to snatch the win. The pinch hitter belted a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Reserves ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit, but it was huge.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Hernández.

The Rainbeaus have now dropped 5 straight.
