The Monongahela Monsters defeated the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 8-5, at The Bamboo Forest today. Leading the charge for Monongahela was second baseman Ramón Marino. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Monongahela now sits at 48-37, while Sioux Falls falls to 50-35.

With Monongahela leading 4-3 in the top of the fifth, Marino came up to bat against Sioux Falls pitcher Michael MacGregor. Marino hit a splitter to left-center for a bases-clearing double. His 8th double of the season put the Monsters on top, 7-3.
