The timely hitting of Damon Joseph helped the Hialeah Dodos down the Kansas Rainbeaus, 8-3. Joseph went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Dodos. Hialeah reliever Jack Elvidge picked up the win, raising his record to 1-4. Ron Canseco was tagged with the loss. At 38-45, Hialeah is in 7th place in the Premier AAA.

Hialeah took a 5-3 lead on George McLean's 4th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which McLean hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Kansas pitcher Ron Canseco shaking his head.

"There's still time to turn this season around," said McLean.
