Red Pandas Win in Glorious Fashion, 3-2
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Sioux Falls Red Pandas and the Baton Rouge Brass, pitcher Alan Jackson was the difference between victory and defeat. The Sioux Falls right-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 Red Pandas win. Rodney Johnson snagged the win in relief. In 2 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on no hits. He's now 2-2 on the season. The second-place Red Pandas have a record of 48-33.
The clutch hit was provided by Rich Williams. He delivered a walk-off run-scoring single off Ron Ward in the bottom of the 11th.
"This is a resilient bunch," said Sioux Falls manager Fred Leos.
