Humpbacks Suffer 6-3 Setback

The Milton Dogfish Head overcame a fine performance by Alaskan right fielder Ricardo López to defeat the Humpbacks, 6-3, at Sea World. López was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Claudio Ortega, 2-4, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. The Dogfish Head, at 40-38, sit in 6th place in the Premier AAA.
The outcome might have been different for Milton, had it not been for Luis Santos, the 29-year old second baseman . Santos stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put Milton up, 4-2. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 1 double and 2 singles.
"We'll savor this win," Santos told the Milton Chronicle, "then get ready for the next game."
