Red Pandas Fall to Reserves, 6-2
|
The Athletic Club KC Reserves topped the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 6-2, in USPL Triple A action at KC Reserve Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Athletic Club KC pitcher and Los Angeles, California, native Roy Head. In 6 innings, Head surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3. He allowed no runs. Athletic Club KC is now 37-41, Sioux Falls 45-33.
The Reserves grabbed the lead in the bottom of the third. With one out, Justin Cooper hit a 3-run home run off Raúl Cabrera, putting Athletic Club KC in front, 4-0. For Cooper, it was his 9th home run of the season.
"The guys seem happy with the win. That's good, I guess," said Cooper.
