Milton third baseman Cristóbal Calzacorta had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Calzacorta went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 3, even as Alaskan beat the Dogfish Head, 9-7. Carlos Churen got credit for the win, improving to 6-1. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 3 innings. Getting the save was Lloyd Natoff, his 3rd.
Norberto Carrillo chipped in for Alaskan with a 2-run single in the bottom of the first. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"I felt good up there," said Carrillo. "I saw the ball well."
