4-1 Loss to Reserves Extends Alaskan Losing Streak
|
Athletic Club KC center fielder Jakob Presser made his presence felt in the 4-1 Reserves triumph over the Alaskan Humpbacks. Presser was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times. Tom Matthews got the save, the 2nd for him this season. The Humpbacks have now dropped 6 straight.
The Reserves got an important contribution from second baseman Pedro Píaz, who in the bottom of the fourth knocked a 1-1 cutter into left for a 3-run home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Reserves ahead, 3-0.
Presser called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
