Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Sioux Falls Red Pandas and Syracuse Starks.

The Sioux Falls Red Pandas dealt the Syracuse Starks a 5-3 loss at The Bamboo Forest. Stu Hamilton was the star on offense. He went 2 for 3 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Michael MacGregor got the win, improving to 7-6. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 6 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Getting the save was Rodney Johnson, his 8th.

With Sioux Falls leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Hamilton hit a curveball from Bill Strain for a 2-run triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Red Pandas ahead, 3-0.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Sioux Falls manager Fred Leos.
