Syracuse got a strong outing from Bryant Clark as the Starks defeated the Bakersfield Nobles, 7-2, at Jerome Grounds. Harold Hunter notched his 2nd save in 3 chances. The win puts the Starks at 24-43, while the Nobles drop to 41-26.
Syracuse used a well-timed hit by Silvio van Dalen to capture the win. The catcher socked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Starks ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Clark told the Syracuse News.
