Haddow, Monongahela Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
The Monongahela Monsters and Baton Rouge Brass put on a pitchers' duel.
The Monongahela Monsters got a stellar performance from pitcher Oliver Haddow, who handcuffed the Baton Rouge offense en route to a win, 2-0, at Timber Hawks Ballpark. Jack Herer finished to wrap up his 12th save.
Haddow, who was born in Watford, England, threw 87 pitches over 7 innings, while allowing no runs.
"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Haddow told the Monongahela Citizen.
With the win, Monongahela raised its record to 29-26.
