Humpbacks Take Down Red Pandas, 6-2

Alaskan took on Sioux Falls in front of a lively crowd.
The Alaskan Humpbacks defeated the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 6-2, at The Bamboo Forest today. Leading the charge for Alaskan was designated hitter Steve Covington. He was 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Alaskan is now 31-22, Sioux Falls 26-27.
Covington made an early impact for Alaskan when he stroked his 4th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came in the top of the third, put the Humpbacks on top, 4-0.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Covington told the Alaskan Gazette. "It's as simple as that."
