The Milton Dogfish Head topped the Syracuse Starks by a score of 9-3. Leading the way was third baseman Cristóbal Calzacorta. Calzacorta was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Dogfish Head. Claudio Ortega got the save, the 3rd for him this season. The loss makes Syracuse 20-31.
Milton grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Calzacorta, who leads the PAAA in stolen bases with 15, hit a 3-run home run. His 7th home run of the season put the Dogfish Head out in front, 3-2.
"It's not about individual awards," Calzacorta told a Milton Chronicle reporter after the game. "It's about winning championships. That's what we play for."
