David Guerra was in top form in a low-scoring contest between Milton and Sioux Falls. The Dogfish Head right-hander helped his team beat the Red Pandas, 3-1. Milton is 23-25 and Sioux Falls, with the loss, 23-25.
In the bottom of the sixth, with Milton leading 2-1, catcher Ivano Pohvisnev hit a run-scoring single. The hit came off Salvador Heredia and put the Dogfish Head ahead, 3-1.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Milton manager Gonzalo Velásquez said.
