The Port Huron Blitzkrieg topped the Vermont Lake Monsters, 6-5, with right fielder Ralph McDonald playing a big role. McDonald was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Blitzkrieg in the win. This win makes it 5 in a row for Port Huron.

The Blitzkrieg got a big hit from left fielder Sergio López. In the bottom of the fifth, López pounded a 3-run home run to right. His 16th home run of the season put the Blitzkrieg ahead, 6-5.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Blitzkrieg manager Jack Alexander. "This one was nice to get."
