Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Black Mambas
|
The Austin Black Mambas got a stellar performance from pitcher Curt Stokes, who handcuffed the Plymouth offense en route to a win, 2-1, at Mamba Park. The victory gives Austin a record of 49-44.
Keaton Sturge was the walk-off hero for Austin. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Black Mambas designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This wasn't a good win," said Sturge. "It was a great win."
