Dodos Ballpark was the site for USPL Triple A action featuring the Hialeah Dodos and Syracuse Starks.

In a high-scoring game between Syracuse and Hialeah, designated hitter Bill Gatacre was a difference-maker. The 31-year-old helped Syracuse grab the 9-8 win. He went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Starks raised their record to 16-23.

Syracuse used the timely hitting of Byron Ballard to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Starks on top, 9-8. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"What a game," said Ballard. "We needed every last run."
