Babitu Brings A-Game, Black Mambas Beat Golden Cranes
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Austin Black Mambas and Santa Barbara Golden Cranes.
In a low-scoring contest, Austin pitcher Edemona Babitu was marvelous in his team's 2-0 win. The Black Mambas saw their win-loss record go to 48-41. At the same time, the Golden Cranes fell to 41-48.
Babitu dominated for Austin, raising his record to 7-6. Santa Barbara hitters had few good at-bats against the right-hander, who scattered 4 hits over 8 innings while striking out 7.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Babitu. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
