Starks Handed 3-1 Loss by Athletic Club KC
|
The Athletic Club KC Reserves defeated the Syracuse Starks, 3-1, in USPL Triple A action at KC Reserve Stadium. Athletic Club KC pitcher John Moyer had a standout performance. Moyer got the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 2 hits and walked 1 over 5 innings. Moyer allowed 1 run. Gunnar Hicks picked up the save for Athletic Club KC, his 2nd of the year.
Pedro Píaz helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Reserves.
Píaz said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
Athletic Club KC currently is in last place in the Premier AAA at 11-16.
