Blitzkrieg Slap 7-3 Loss on Tritons
|
The Port Huron Blitzkrieg topped the Jersey City Tritons by the score of 7-3, with the largest share of the credit going to designated hitter Mike Sherman. Sherman went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Blitzkrieg. The Blitzkrieg raised their record to 32-50.
Ralph McDonald dealt the Tritons a blow in the top of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Port Huron leading 2-0, McDonald, who is tied for 8th in the 3AAA in home runs with 12, hit a 0-1 knuckle curve for a bases-clearing double.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Jersey City manager Darryl Gordon. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
