Right-hander Andrew MacEwen mesmerized the Nashville Hot Chickens while leading the Port Royal Disaster to a 3-0 victory. Carl McCoy, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 25th save. Port Royal, at 49-31, sits in second place in the Menard's AAA.
Port Royal used the timely hitting of Tim Martínez to capture the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Disaster on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
Martínez told a Port Royal Bulletin reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
