Disaster Curb Golden Cranes, 4-2
|
The Disaster grabbed a win, 4-2, at Ballpark of Port Royal, overcoming a fine effort from Santa Barbara pitcher Tim Waters. Waters went 6 innings and allowed no runs. Port Royal now owns a record of 45-30.
The Disaster got a big boost from first baseman Rodger Parsons who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh inning off Golden Cranes hurler Bryan Griffin. It was his 18th RBI of the season and put Port Royal on top, 3-2.
After the game, Port Royal manager Mike Nyberg applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
