Black Mambas Need Extra Frames to Get Past Blitzkrieg
The Austin Black Mambas beat the Port Huron Blitzkrieg, 3-2. Austin pitcher and Middleton, Massachusetts, native Curt Stokes led the way. With the win, the Black Mambas have a record of 40-34.

Austin used a timely hit from Paul Parker to get the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Black Mambas ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.

Port Huron manager Jack Alexander said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
