Chase, Port Royal Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
Stuart Chase never let the Rocks get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his cutter, to pitch the Disaster to a win, 2-1. Carl McCoy was called on to finish, recording his 22nd save. Port Royal is now 43-28, while Plymouth is 42-29.
Chase delivered a quality start for Port Royal. The 6' 1" right-hander allowed no earned runs on 3 hits over 8 innings of work.
"I was a little disappointed," said Plymouth manager Harris Harden. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
