Moss Shines in 8-3 Jersey City Win
|
The Jersey City Tritons beat the Port Huron Blitzkrieg, 8-3, at Port Huron Park. Jersey City third baseman Ed Moss had an outstanding performance. He went 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. José García, the winner, improved to 1-1. He held the Blitzkrieg to 2 runs on 4 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Jersey City is now 31-22.
Early in the game, Moss had a 3-run home run for Jersey City. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Tritons on top, 4-1.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Moss told the Jersey City Herald.
