The Port Royal Disaster defeated the Plymouth Rocks, 7-0, at Ballpark of Port Royal. Port Royal right fielder Carlos Velardes had a superb performance. He went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. José Correa, the winning pitcher, is now 5-1. He went 6.1 innings, allowing no runs on 7 hits, while fanning 5 and walking 3. The Menard's AAA-leading Disaster are 33-19.

The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth when Velardes, who is tied for 2nd in the 3AAA in runs scored with 36, hit a 3-run home run. It propelled the Disaster into the lead, 3-0.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Port Royal manager Mike Nyberg. "Our pregame was pretty good."
