The Jersey City Tritons defeated the Port Huron Blitzkrieg, 9-2, at Jersey City Grounds today. Leading the charge for Jersey City was first baseman Rubén Cervantes. He was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs. Jersey City starter Damien Schmitt was credited with the win after throwing 90 pitches over 5.1 innings. His record now stands at 2-1. Cheng-qian Yue closed the door for Jersey City, picking up his 1st save of the year.

Early in the game, second baseman Yong-jun Ko had a 3-run home run for Jersey City. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Tritons on top, 3-1.
