Win Lifts Disaster to 17-11

The home crowd had a good time watching the Port Huron Blitzkrieg and Port Royal Disaster get after it.
Port Royal third baseman Fernando Delgado played a vital role in his team's 7-3 triumph over Port Huron. He went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for Port Royal. Picking up the win was Stuart Chase. He went 7.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits. The right--hander struck out 4 and walked 2. Carl McCoy was called on to finish, recording his 10th save.
George Samuels drove in one run for Port Royal. The 31-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Wop Letroit. It was his 4th RBI of the season.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Samuels told the Port Royal Bulletin.
Port Royal now has a record of 17-11 with the win.
