Humpbacks Need Extra Frames to Get Past Nobles
|
Dave Alexander was a vital contributor to the 4-1 Alaskan victory over Bakersfield. The Humpbacks center fielder went 3-7 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. With the win, Alaskan is 7-1.
Alaskan relied on the hitting of Rafael Carballar to pick up the win. The second baseman ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the 16th inning to put the Humpbacks on top, 2-1. For the game, Carballar had 1 triple and 2 singles in 7 at-bats.
"This team is real focused right now," said Alaskan manager Kelly Flint.
