Getting an impressive start from Omar Fabila, Hamilton beat Pawnee by the score of 5-0. Fabila, the winner, moves to 1-1. He threw 5 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 1 walk. Hamilton, now 6-10, is off to a slow start.

The Thunderbirds got an important contribution from first baseman Tom Rollins, who in the bottom of the second knocked a 1-1 splitter into center for a run-scoring triple. It was his 2nd triple of the season and put the Thunderbirds ahead, 2-0.
