Sherman Powers Blitzkrieg Offense
|
A 3-RBI performance from Mike Sherman, who is tied for 4th in the 3AAA in home runs with 4, helped the Port Huron Blitzkrieg beat the Plymouth Rocks, 6-2. Kensaku Sanu earned the win for Port Huron. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 9. With the win, he raised his record to 3-0. Darwin McGinnity picked up the save for Port Huron, his 4th of the year.
Sherman came through for the Blitzkrieg in the top of the ninth inning. With Port Huron leading 3-2, the designated hitter drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It made the score 4-2, Port Huron.
"This is not a one-man show," said Sherman. "A lot of the guys stepped up."
The loss drops the Rocks to 7-7.
