Thunderbirds Squelch Buzz Offense in Shutout Win
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Hamilton Thunderbirds and the Salt Lake City Buzz, pitcher Dan McIntyre was the difference between victory and defeat. The Hamilton right-hander earned accolades in the 3-0 Thunderbirds win. Tony Rodríguez was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save. Hamilton is now 2-5.
Hamilton first baseman Tom Rollins delivered a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. Overall, he went 3 for 4, picking up 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 1 run and knocked in 2.
McIntyre told a Hamilton Observer reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
