The Austin Black Mambas topped the Pawnee ParksNRec, 5-3, in M3L Triple A action at Mamba Park. The standout performance belonged to Austin pitcher and Dunstable, Massachusetts, native Dan Sanders. Sanders went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 4, and struck out 4. His record improves to 1-0. Sun-ho Yang earned the save for Austin, his 2nd of the year.
León Martínez, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2044 draft, helped out the Austin cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the left fielder was 1-3.
Sanders told the Austin Times: "I was born for the big stage."
The loss puts Pawnee at 1-2.
