4-1 Loss Extends Thunder Bay Skid
|
Nova Scotia Leviathan starter Ben Frazier hurled his team past the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 4-1. In 7.1 innings, Frazier surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Jorge Valdéz, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 9th save.
The Leviathan got an important contribution from pinch hitter Ramiro Curran, who in the bottom of the fourth punched a 2-0 fastball into right-center for a solo home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Leviathan ahead, 1-0.
"We missed opportunities once again," said losing manager Scott Williams.
The slumping Northern Lions BC have dropped 6 in a row.
