Knights Pick Up 3-2 Win
|
Kingston Township picked up a win at Atlantica, toppling the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 3-2. Pitcher Nick Long was one of the reasons the Knights triumphed. Long went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 3, and struck out 6. His record improves to 3-0. After today's action, Kingston Township sits at 20-7; Northern Virginia slips to 10-17.
Kingston Township used the clutch hitting of Layton Arntsen to capture the win. The catcher drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Knights the lead, 3-2. For the game, Arntsen had 1 single and 2 doubles in 4 at-bats.
