Northern Virginia turned a good effort from starter Jesús Rosas into a win over the Las Vegas Flamingos at Atlantica. The final score was 8-1. The Rainbow Mermaids go to 8-14 with the win.

With no one out in the bottom of the third, Gökhan Özdemir barreled up a changeup from Troy Dalton. The result was a 3-run home run, putting the Rainbow Mermaids in front, 4-0.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Özdemir.
