Hale Delivers 8-1 Win
The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC topped the Charleston Battery, 8-1, in Menard's Third League action at Great Northern Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Thunder Bay pitcher Steve Hale. Charleston now is 10-11.

Hale was effective for Thunder Bay, seldom allowing the Battery to square up a pitch. The left-hander tossed 98 pitches over 8.2 innings. He limited Charleston to just 1 run on 5 hits.
