5 Straight Wins for Battery
Charleston rode a fine outing from starter Hunter Stinson to victory over the Buckhead Bowties at Charleston Armory. The final score was 5-1. Stinson picked up the win for Charleston, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. Sake Bravenboer sewed up the save, his 1st.

The Battery got an important contribution from center fielder Horace Ellis, who in the bottom of the first punched a 0-1 fastball into right-center for a 2-run double. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Battery ahead, 4-0.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Stinson told the Charleston Daily.

The Bowties, now 4-13, continue their sluggish start.
