The Las Vegas Flamingos picked up a win at The Strip, knocking off the Nova Scotia Leviathan, 5-0. On the mound for Las Vegas was right-hander Tomás Ramírez, who played a pivotal role in the win. With the win, Las Vegas goes to 7-8.
Mito Kawamura had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the seventh for Las Vegas. He came through with a 2-run single to put Las Vegas in front, 4-0.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Kawamura told the Las Vegas Daily News.
