Northern Lions BC Paste 2-1 Loss on Divided
|
The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC got a magnificent performance from pitcher Chris Jackson, who muffled the D.C. offense en route to a tight 2-1 Northern Lions BC win at Washington Stadium. Thunder Bay has a record of 6-8.
Thunder Bay relied on the hitting of Marcantonio Talamante to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put the Northern Lions BC on top, 2-0. For the game, Talamante had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Jackson. "Successful pitchers do it."
