The Las Vegas Flamingos picked up a win at Great Northern Field, knocking off the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 5-4. Starting pitcher Gelana Maitho played a key role in the triumph. The save went to Don Williams, his 4th this season. The loss makes Thunder Bay 4-5.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Roy Bagnall? The Las Vegas left fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Flamingos on top, 2-1. For the game, Bagnall had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Maitho told the Las Vegas Daily News.
