Northern Lions BC Best Lakers, 7-4
|
A 4-RBI performance from the 27-year old first baseman Bob Hawkins helped the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC beat the Echo Park Lakers, 7-4. Jerry Sargent recorded his 1st save for Thunder Bay. The victory makes Thunder Bay 3-3.
In the top of the first, Hawkins pounced on a 2-0 fastball from Mitch Ivey and hit a grand slam home run. It put Thunder Bay on top, 4-0.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Hawkins told the Thunder Bay Herald.
