Stingers Stop Rocketeers, 6-3
|
The Toledo Stingers downed the Seattle Rocketeers, 6-3, at Pacesetter Park. Lester Threlfall led the way, going 4-for-4 for Toledo. Richello Dosono, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 20th save. With the win, Toledo pushed its record to 55-46.
The Stingers got an important contribution from left fielder Max King, who in the bottom of the second hit a slider into right for a 2-run double. It was his 18th double of the season and put the Stingers ahead, 3-1.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Toledo manager TJ Reynolds.
