The Toledo Stingers did just enough to secure a victory over the Oakland Oaks, 4-3, at Pacesetter Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Joaquín Herrera. The win gives Toledo a season record of 49-45.

The Stingers got a big at-bat from designated hitter Heikki Lahtela. For the game, Lahtela went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 25th home run of the season gave Toledo a 3-1 lead.

Herrera attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
