Park Holds MSL Northern Virginia Scoreless Thursday, August 8th , 2052 The MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the MSL Toledo Stingers. The Rainbow Mermaids were overpowered by MSL Toledo starter Chong-chun Park, who hurled his club to victory, 7-0. "It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Jaime Torres said. Over 9 innings, Park blanked MSL Northern Virginia on 3 hits with 2 walks and 10 strikeouts. "I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Park said. "I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one." In 12 starts this season Park has notched a 5-6 record and a 3.68 ERA. View Boxscore View Game Log |
