Johnson Tags 3 HR Against Battery Saturday, July 6th , 2052 It was a terrific day today for Rod Johnson, who ripped three home runs at MSL Detroit Ballpark, and a disappointing one for the MSL Detroit Elite who nevertheless dropped the game to the MSL Charleston Battery. "He was instant offense today," MSL Detroit skipper Robert Dickinson said. "Rod really put on a show. He more than did his part. We just didn't come through with hits at the right time to win the game." For the day, Johnson collected 4 hits in 6 at-bats, scored 4 runs and had 4 RBIs. In the postgame press conference he told the reporters he has always liked to hit at MSL Detroit Ballpark. "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he said. Rod Johnson hit a solo-shot off Vic Littleton in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Vic Littleton in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Seung-ook Hwang in the 8th, walked in the 9th, struck out in the 11th and singled in the 14th. So far this year Johnson is batting .346 with 6 home runs. |
