August's Best Starter Named in PMSL Sunday, September 1st , 2052 There's something about a young rookie winning the USPL Mexican Summer League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with José Carmona, a 17-year-old starter for the MSL Buffalo White Walkers. In August, he topped off the month with a 3-0 mark and 2.45 ERA in 3 starts, tossed 18.1 innings, fanned 23 and held opposing teams to a .169 average. In 15 starts this season Carmona has fashioned a 11-2 record and a 2.36 ERA. |
