Winters Goes Deep 3 Times Tuesday, August 20th , 2052 Fans are still buzzing after Bompton whipped the Maine Sea Dogs by the score of 9-3 today at Field of the Browns. Stephen Winters smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the catcher bashed out 3 hits in 4 at-bats, had 5 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, Winters said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Winters said. "Three is just... wow." Stephen Winters hit a solo-shot off Shi-kai Hsueh in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Shi-kai Hsueh in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Shi-kai Hsueh in the 5th and flied out in the 6th. On the season, Winters is batting .322 with 10 home runs and 28 RBIs. He has played in 45 games. |
