Blast Off! 3 HR for Suzuki Sunday, August 11th , 2052 The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Hokusai Suzuki did today at The Zoo, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 6-0. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Suzuki said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The Maine Sea Dogs first baseman blistered the Redwood Rhinos for 3 hits, batted in 3 runs and scored 3 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," Redwood manager Dave Parrish said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Hokusai Suzuki hit a solo-shot off Jin-u Yong in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jin-u Yong in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jorge López in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. Thus far this year Suzuki has hit .205 with 11 home runs and 21 RBIs. |
