Buchanan Hurls No-Hitter Against Zoomies Sunday, July 14th , 2052 The Fort Knox Centennial relied on no-hit stuff from starter Eric Buchanan to defeat the Shady Side Zoomies 5-0 at Ballpark of Baxter today. "It's quite a thrill," Buchanan told the media afterward. "This is a top-notch league. A no-hitter against any team in the league is something special. I can't believe I did it." To get his name logged in the USPL Low A records, he stopped Shady Side cold and hitless, surrendering 3 walks and fanning 10 of the 29 batters he faced. Fort Knox manager Justin Saginov was in a jovial mode after the game, kidding with reporters that Buchanan "made managing easy today." "I didn't have hardly any decisions to make like I usually do," he said. "I didn't even have to come up with a pinch hitter."
